Galveston SR-22
Q: I’m supposed to get a Galveston SR-22 policy, but I don’t own a car. How do I do this?
A: If you don’t own a car and you don’t intend on driving anyone else’s, then you don’t need to get a Galveston SR-22 policy at all. The deal is that either you wait two years after your suspension to get your license back, or you pay for SR-22 filing during that time.
However, if you don’t own a car but you intend to be driving someone else’s, then you will need a Galveston SR-22 insurance policy for non-owners. This will only cover you for liability and will be more expensive than usual, but is good for those who still need to drive now and then.
