Abilene SR22

Q: What is Abilene SR22 car insurance?

A: In the state of Texas, Abilene SR22 car insurance is filed after you have your license suspended for one reason or another–usually for something like driving under the influence or for getting into a car accident while failing to maintain financial responsibility (i.e. car insurance). If you want to get your driver’s license back, you will have to file proof of insurance with the DPS.

Abilene SR22 is usually more expensive than other kinds of car insurance, and you are required to file it for two years after the date of your license suspension. Although after two years you will no longer need to file the SR22, it will still stay on your driving record for three years more, and you will experience higher pricing because of this.

If you do not file your Abilene SR22, or fail to pay, then instead an SR26 of cancellation will be filed, and when this is received your license will once more be suspended. In order to get it back, you must again get SR22 insurance as well as pay other associated fines.
